Families

Do you have a child, grandchild, or other family member who:

  • Wants to improve their school results?
  • Expand their learning capacity?
  • Is struggling to read?
  • Has learning difficulties?
  • Is learning English as a second language

Fast ForWord may be able to help.
It is easy for your family member to access Fast ForWord – it is available for home use and in schools.

“David is very excited today as he got 16 out of 20 in a comprehension test – he only got 2 out of 20 on last time . He was 3rd or 4th highest in his class.. He is so pleased with himself. We are really happy to see him get more confident in himself. I am a very happy mum”. Jill

Fast ForWord at Home
Fast ForWord can be done at home under guidance by the team of speech pathologists and learning experts at our associated clinic, Lindfield Speech Pathology & Learning Centre. We have provided Fast ForWord to over 1000 pre-schoolers, primary and secondary students and adults in the last 10 years.

How it works at home
Fast ForWord can be done at home on your Windows or MacIntosh computer. The only other equipment you need is a set of headphones that fully cover the ears. Your family member does the exercises for 50 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Because Fast ForWord adapts to each individual, the time to complete a program varies from person to person – most take from 6 to 12 weeks.

You are not alone
When your family member does Fast ForWord at home, we monitor their progress every day via the Fast ForWord web-enabled Progress Tracker system and we provide support and advice throughout the program.

Fast ForWord at School
Check with your child's school to see if they are currently using Fast ForWord. If the educators at your school would like to find out how to implement Fast ForWord, ask them to visit our Educators Section and get in touch with us.
